Candida Diet Recipes Don’t
Have to be Boring Like Many Weight Loss Plans
Maintaining a healthy
body to help prevent yeast infections can be achieved
through some excellent Candida diet recipes. Of course to
some people diets can be incredibly boring and difficult
to stick to.
The difficulty convincing people to try Candida diet recipes
is that they perceive only a few ingredients can be used, which
is not entirely true. The key thing you should want to achieve
is to starve the yeast by removing the types of food that help
to feed it.
Yeast primarily thrives on sugars so by reducing or better
still removing these from the diet will starve the yeast,
whilst at the same time improving the digestive and immune
system. The sugar problem is why diabetes sufferers are more
susceptible to yeast infections than most other people.
Fresh vegetables are an excellent part of any diet,
especially when eaten raw as they absorb fungal poisons and
carry them out of the body. You are probably well aware that
vegetables are good for you but not everyone likes to eat them
raw, so steaming vegetables is a good way to cook them whilst
retaining the flavour, colour and vital nutrients.

You should also remember when on any kind of diet that you
should not starve yourself. If you feel hungry then you should
eat but not to excess, and only eat healthy foods.
Ideally Candida diet recipes should contain 30 percent
protein, 60 to 65 percent carbohydrates from produce, and 5
percent from nuts and seeds. Approximately 20 to 25 percent of
your calories should be from fats found in these foods, most of
which should be polyunsaturated or omega 3 fats.
So as part of your diet there are a number of foods to avoid
eating that contain fungi and which will break down into simple
sugars when digested. These will only serve to feed the yeast
and create a problem so try to avoid the following:
· Margarine and butter substitutes
· Egg substitutes – real eggs are fine, especially organic.
· Potatoes and legumes
· Coffee, tea and sodas.
· Grains – so pasta, rice, corn, wheat, oats and barley should
be avoided.
· Pickles and salad dressings
· Peanuts
· Mustard, ketchups, mayonnaise and other sauces used to
embellish our meals.
· Fruit and fruit juices
The last on that list of things to avoid may surprise some
you. Fruit juices contain sugars but so does some fresh fruit.
However, some fruit is ok to eat as part of your Candida diet
recipes such as green apples, berries, avocados, grapefruit,
lemon and limes.
As already mentioned vegetables are a vital part of any
diet, but those particularly good in combating yeast infections
are sprouts, asparagus, bell peppers, cabbage and broccoli.
Carrots are better when eaten raw, whilst celery, egg plants,
fennel, garlic, lettuces, onion, pumpkin, spinach and tomatoes
are all good and taste delicious.
Of course you may not want to stick to a vegetarian diet so
there are plenty of meats that can be eaten as part of a
Candida diet, including beef, liver, sausage, lamb, pork and
poultry. How you cook them is important as frying sausages in
lots of fat is clearly less healthy than grilling them.
Freshwater fish such as bass and trout are good to eat as
well as wild salmon and other types of seafood. Bear in mind
other ailments you may have though and if necessary consult
your doctor or dietician before embarking on a Candida
diet.
